As a Commission Junction affiliate for years and using my Wordpress blogs to promote products it took me a lot of time to manage my affiliate links and banners

I was looking for some plugins that would easily add relevant products into my posts, saving me time and spending that for promotion and writing useful content for my readers. After researching for a while and thanks to my friend i found CJNiche plugin, which is totally free to use.

The plugin is very user friendly, adding a simple shortcode into your posts/pages will automatically add products to your blog from the huge database of Commission Junction.You can filter results by keywords and advertiser id(merchant) and set the number of listings you want to show.

So for example: The shortcode: [cjniche keywords="casio watch" listing="4"] would display 4 Casio Watches.

Steps to Building CJ Niche Stores

Preliminary steps:
Install Wordpress if you haven't already ;)
Sign Up for a Commission Junction account if you don't have one already ;)

1. Go to Wpnicheground.com and Download the FREE CJNiche plugin,

2. Upload your plugin trough your Dashboard and activate it

3. Go to CJNiche admin panel (Settings->CJNiche) and enter your website id, developer key and advertiser id.
To get your:
Website id - Login into your Commission Junction Dashboard and under Account tab select Website Settings then choose your website and there you will find your website id, your PID
Developer Key - Register for a key at webservices.cj.com with your normal cj.com account login details.
Advertiser Id - Every merchant has a unique id. For e.g. If you want to promote Zappos.com products you will need their advertiser id.
For this go to your CJ Account and by opening View Links of the choosen merchant, you will see the advertiser id

4. Insert the shortcode into your post.
Code format for listing 5 Dell Latitude laptops: [cjniche keywords="dell latitude" listing="5"]
The first parameter is for the products/keywords you want to promote, separated by spaces.
The second parameter defines the number of products you want to dsplay on your pages

5. Promote your CJ Niche Store
Write educational and relevant content- it can be a personal review, a preview, a video review
SEO- Social bookmarking (Digg, StumbleUpon, Mixx..), Feed submission (feedagg, bloglines etc), linkbuilding (blog commenting, forum posting, link exchange, blog directory submission)
Integrate social media platforms: Twitter, Facebook, Youtube
